Easter is not Tokyo culture yet – After usual Monday work force me to have a refresh in a bookstore. I’ve never been disappointed by enthusiasm for tech-gadget in this town.
what’s in your bag / new style of people’s profile
For some reason, many Japanese magazine invite people to show clear-your-bag shot. Browsing through a latest issue of a tech-goods magazine today, I just wonder if it would be new ‘your profile’ here.
As frequent business traveller, it’s very inspiring. People with establish profile looks being care of what they carry very much. Let me pick up some points from my findings.
Lighter is better
Tokyo guys pay more for weight. They love lighter rucksack with more ‘mobile’ terminal. Some guys bin Macbook Pro and go for iPad. Digital SLR is not so first choice here. All-packed compact camera is rising one more time here.
Why two computers?
Said that, I found a contradiction. Most of them carry two PCs (or other additional terminals. e.g. PC + iPad + iPhone). The article suggests having a backup PC. They really care of being ‘on-line’. Even it sacrifices the rule #1 above…
They love mobile battery as much as recent worldwide move. might not be really Eco but, again, they care ‘backups’ always.
Paper and pen – old school survives
Many people still equip paper and pen as essentials. You don’t miss stationary shop in Tokyo. It’s literarily everywhere.
[‘Pencil Bar’ in Tokyo. 5000+ pencils wait for you!]
Intelligent pen could scan your writing into Cloud drive. We would make U-turn to to pencil next decades? Who knows.
They carry more rather than share
Modern life consumes energy more and more. It’s really the case in Tokyo. They got their own mini Apollo lander, independent survival cell isolated.
This is not far what I got these days. However, I cannot help asking myself:
‘Can I borrow it from someone around?’
