Books for drones – Tokyo Book Store

Tokyo guys are crazy for reading book…

My natural question was:

‘Is there any book about flying drones?’

My Tokyo friend flicked his iPhone and showed some.

Most of them is not so technical disappointedly but one book seems of interest for me.

This is something to do with mini FPV drone. It’s kinda world-wide move in Toy drone scene recently. But, I’ve never seen a book about it.

Just browsing through it at that night, I found it good for FPV drone beginner. In addition, I found some key-words interesting:

FPV use for disaster investigation

Japan arguably suffers most from earthquakes. There will be more demand for FPV drone and tiny whoop could be a good to train people this way.

Real Virtuality

This sounds reversed terminology of Virtual Reality (VR). It describes FPV drone in author’s context. Hmm..it’s inspiring. FPV drone makes the boundary between Real and Virtual vague. Do we approach to reality the way you would do in PS4 game??

Tiny whoop is next generation of TAMIYA MINI 4WD?

You might remember a big move of MINI 4WD in 90s’.

FPV mini drone can be like it. Techs are right there to have compact and robust design with easy operation.

There are some similarities:

  • compact intensive motors
  • high demand of light weight design
  • Children got crazy with it; Parents did even more 🙂

Thank Tokyo. I’ve never bored staying this city.
