The title is my best translation of today’s inspiring topic. You can blame me for not remembering Japanese counter part of it.
When development goes right…
Working with many R&D projects, I am lucky enough to have witnessed ‘miracle’ moments.

Pi day
Just found it’s 3.14 today. Yes, it is Pi(e) day.
3.14159265359…
This famous constant number is fascinating for all math-lovers. It’s simply the ratio of diameter and circumference. However, it’s proven to be irrational number ‘surprisingly’.
Circle is a symbol for some sort of perfection, in East or West. But Continue reading “Pi day”
Dan-Sha-Li?
This is non-aerodynamics topic but you might find it interesting as I am impressed over drink-out conversation in Tokyo the other day…
What is Dan-Sha-Ri?
As is often with an engineers, I am not a person with tidied-up room. all drone parts and junk electric components (and of course, 10+year old PCs!) – never seen complete floor for a while.
Aerial shot – need to be so posh?
I just wonder if there could be simpler and more inspiring way of aerial shot by drone?
Game or Real? You take both!
You might have heard FRV (First Person’s View) drone flight in recent days…

Even toy drones follow physics….of course
‘Sergio, my drone hops when it accelerates horizontally!’
Don’t panic. Without advanced flight control logic, it’s seen in whole history of any chopper-type flying vehicles.

Drone needs to be aerodynamic??
Ultimately, yes. However, a flying drone has specific priorities:
- Hovering stability
- Maneuverability
In short, a drone would like to be insensitive to ‘disturbance’ (the change of wind direction and direction of travel).
Therefore, symmetrical bluff body is not so stupid even from aerodynamic point of view.
